The field of business is very broad. It can include small, privately owned firms all the way up to giant corporations such as Walmart. Most resources would describe it as an industry that involves the exchange of services and/or goods to buyers. Many industries are broken down into the large "umbrella" that is business, like: the clothing industry, food industry, the music business, among others. Business also indicates a job or profession of an individual. There is seemingly an infinte list that term "business" can cover.
